Puzzle Time!

Awhile back we decided to buy a puzzle that had 1000 pieces! We thought we could sit down and get it all done in one night... so we even picked one with an odd shape to give us a challenge! Boy were we wrong! It took us one night just to get part of the border done! I wish I would have taken pictures throughout the long, and I mean long, process! But here is the final product.

This is on our kitchen table. It stretched out almost to the ends of the table! We didn't know what we were getting ourselves into! But it was fun to spend time together and in the end it was a pretty cool puzzle! We were so proud of it that it stayed on the table for about 2 weeks! We had parties on it and dinner on it! It served us well and was a good decoration! I highly recommend a 1000 piece puzzle!

Wedding Dress

So I found my wedding dress! Finally! After a lot of hair pulling, sweating, ooos, ahhs, no ways, and a few 30 dresses.... I ended up with the number two dress I tried on! I ABSOLUTELY love it! The process of trying on the few 30 dresses however.... okay it wasn't that bad! But I do have to say that the person who helps you with your dress is the one who makes the difference! Amanda at A Bride Beautiful was amazing! (That's where I got my dress) That's where we went first and I'm glad we did! It started my day off good! The next store we went to was way way too busy! Plus they threw my grandma out of the dressing room, pushed my mom out of the way when she was helping me put a dress on, and were helping some bridesmaids instead of focusing on me! ( I don't mean to be a bridezilla, but come on lady you didn't even give me a bra!) The third store smelt like sour milk! I was ready to leave as soon as I stepped in there! The last store we went to had a slim selection so I didn't really find anything there either...AND none of them compared to that first dress! So after 6 1/2 hours of dress shopping we went back to that first shop and tried my favorite dress on again and finalized it! So now I just have to wait! and wait! and wait! I just want to get it and wear it for a bit! I can't wait for you all to see it!
We also booked our DJ and Photographer! So we are getting the ball rolling! I can't believe it's only 5 1/2 months away! I can't wait for it to get here but then again there's lots to do! So until next time.....

First weeks of school!!! And a Bridal Show

I did it! I survived my first week of nursing school. I was a little frightened when I went to the first day of class. They pretty much said life as I knew it was over. I am prepared for that and prepared to work hard. It's only two and a half years, time will fly by. I just thought I'd let all of you know that I'm alive and doing well.

We did go to the Bridal Show at the Salt Palace this past weekend! It was so fun! It had all sorts of fun booths. Dan came and one of the vendors made the comment "I have to give you props for being 1 out of the 7 guys who came tonight!" I secretly think he enjoyed it. Maybe not quite as much as me but I did see a few smiles through out the night. I am so excited to get the ball rolling. I wish it was closer to the day but I look at our list of things to do and am glad we have more time! There are so many things to do! I'm sure all of you ladies out there understand. It has to be the dream wedding! I can't wait!

Holiday Fun!!

Thanksgiving was a blast! We had three dinners! It was a ton of turkey! We started with my Mom's side! We ate dinner at 1 and then it was off to Dan's family dinner! That was at 3! Finally we finished with dinner at my dad's family! We lucked out that it was a little later than planned. It was around 6:30! We tried to refrain from eating but it all looked so good! We were stuffed by the end of the night! Here's some pictures of the family! I forgot to take my camera with me to all the dinners! Next time I'll remember it!

I know this post is a little late... but better late than never right? Anyway, It's now December! WOW! Time flies. Soon it will be Christmas! I have to say that this is my favorite time of year. I love how happy people are and how cheerful it is! I love seeing the faces light up when I give my Christmas presents! I think that's my favorite part is giving! I also like all the Christmas lights. This year Dan and I decided to get our own little Christmas tree...It's four feet! We decided to make it a tradition to by an ornament each year to put on the tree. Since we did spend last Christmas together we decided to make up for it and bought a few extra! It sits in the corner of our itty bitty room! Surprisingly it fits perfect! I love it!

YES!!!!!

Just thought I'd update you all! I recieved my letter for nursing school and..... I GOT IN!!!! I can't tell you how excited I am. 2 1/2 years and I will have my BSN in nursing. I was so relieved to find out. I just want to thank all of you for your support in my times of high stress. Just a warning though.... there are most likely more to come! I hear the first semester kis absolutely crazy. Bear with me... I'll try my best to keep sane! It'll be well worth it in the end! Again thank you to my family, friends, and Dan for all your love and support... and for believing I could do it!
